Abstract
1,154,016. Transformers. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 24 Aug., 1966 [24 Aug., 1965], No. 37894/66. Heading H1T. The noise emitted by an electrical transformer is reduced by box-shaped insulating shutters 1, containing sound-absorbing media such as mineral wool, these shutters being movable along the wall 6 of the transformer tank in order to provide access to equipment attached thereto. The boxes 1 overlap when in use and are connected together by elements 8, those boxes adjacent to the tank wall being suspended and supported by rollers 2 and 3 on rails 4 and 5 respectively. Alternatively each insulating element 1 may be mounted separately, this arrangement requiring the use of a second rail 4.
