Heading C3P Antistatic crack resistant moulding materials and mouldings comprise polyethylene and 0À1 to 4 weight per cent of a salt of an amine of formula R<SP>1</SP>OCH 2 CH 2 CH 2 NR<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP> and an acid of formula R<SP>2</SP>COOH where R<SP>1</SP> is alkyl, alkenyl, alkylcycloalkyl, alkenylcycloalkyl, aryl, alkylaryl or alkenylaryl having 6 to 26 carbon atoms in the alkyl or alkenyl group, R<SP>2</SP> is an alkyl or alkenyl group of 5 to 25 carbon atoms or an aryl group, R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are C 1-5 alkyl or alkenyl groups or (C x H 2 xO) n H where x is 2 or 3 and n is 0 to 10. Conventional additives and phosphite esters and alkali metal alkylsulphonates may also be added. The salts may be added directly or dissolved or dispersed in a liquid medium. Many suitable amines, acids and salts thereof are specified, and examples describe compositions of polyethylene and (1) n - dodecyloxypropylammonium laurate, (2) N,N - bis - hydroxyethyl - n - dodecyloxypropylammonium laurate, (3) N,N-dimethyl-ndodecyloxypropylammonium stearate, (4) salt of C 16-18 -alkyloxypropylamine and oleic acid, and (5) salt of (stearyloxypropylamine + 8 moles of ethylene oxide) and coconut fatty acids.
