1,153,143. Arm exercising machine. W. J. TAYLOR. 26 May, 1966 [27 May, 1965], No. 22501/65. Heading A6M. An arm exercising machine comprises a framework supporting a seat 13 and at least one member 24 adapted to be gripped by a hand of the patient sitting in said seat, said member being adapted for movement against the resistance of a fluidic shook absorber. In the illustrated embodiments there are two shock absorbers 19, 20 each with an adjusting valve 21 and connected to hand grips 24 by levers 22, 23. In the arrangement of figs. 1 and 2 the levers have to be moved horizontally, whilst in the arrangement of fig. 3 they have to be moved vertically.
