Abstract
1,152,821. Gyromagnetic resonance spectrometers. VARIAN ASSOCIATES. Aug.26, 1966 [Aug.30, 1965; May 5, 1966], No.38442/66. Heading G1N. [Also in Division H1] As shown, Fig.1, a gyromagnetic resonance spectrometer comprises a super-conductor coil 16, arranged in a cryostat, providing a uniform magnetic field through a specimen 78 located between orthogonal transmitter and receiver coils 81, 83 respectively. The super-conductor coil 16 is provided with end correction windings 44, 46, the current through which may be adjusted by means of a resistive network to obtain the uniform field (see Division H1).
