Abstract

1,152,507. Duplicating machines. G. RITZERFELD. 24 July, 1967 [22 July, 1966], No 33905/67. Heading B6C. An automatically operated rotary printing machine produces cards bearing printed matter and punched holes corresponding to this matter. The printed matter on each card comprises a fixed heading line and one or more lines selected from a programmed sequence. In the drawing a master sheet 1 is typed on a machine 2 and at the same time a card 3 is punched with holes corresponding to the typed material. The imaged sheet 1 is then mounted on the machine cylinder and cards 5 are printed according to the programme, each card passing to a punching device 13 where holes are punched in accordance with the information passed from a device 10 which senses the holes on the card 3 corresponding to the matter printed on the card. The sensing device 10 feeds similar information to a device 14 whilst the newly punched holes on each card 5 are scanned in a device 15, the information being fed to the device 14 for purposes of comparison. If disagreement is registered the machine is automatically stopped.
