Abstract

1,152,418. Mixing apparatus. A. G. BROWN ELECTRONICS Ltd. and A. G. BROWN. 1 Jan., 1968 [30 Jan., 1967], No. 4389/67. Heading B1C. A homogenizer for fish tissue has a nylon blade 19 rotatable with a clearance of about 3/32 in. with the rounded ribs 26 of a nylon cup 25. The cup is retained by a spring and ball detent 27; the blade has an integral shank 20 fitted into a stainless steel sleeve 21 journalled in bearings. 22, 23 and driven by an electric motor 11 through a coupling 24. The motor speed is regulable and in operation the blade is rotated at 8750 r.p.m.
