Abstract

1,152,184. Endless conveyers. VITAFOAM Ltd. 24 Oct., 1966 [10 Aug., 1965]. No. 34105/65. Heading B8A. [Also in Division C3] Apparatus for cooling compounded rubber includes a series of endless conveyer belts 11-15 over Which a ribbon 17 of rubber is trained in a sinuous disposition. Means (22), (Fig. 3, not shown) for directing cooling fluid on to the ribbon are provided. Means for varying the rate of movement of the conveyers to compensate for contraction of the ribbon comprises a lever 28 (Fig. 2) which operates potentiometers (not shown) in circuit with variable speed drives of the conveyers 11-15.
