Abstract

1,152,141. Laminating-presses. BELL MASCHINEFABRIK. 1 June, 1966 [14 Sept., 1965], No. 24489/66. Heading B5N. A pressure pad comprises a rigid base plate 7 having a connection 8 for a pressure fluid, and a thin pressure plate 10, the edges of which are sealingly interconnected by flexible and extensible edge elements 11, e.g. of rubber, which are at least partially supported on their outer sides by fixing members 12, 13 which may have overlapping walls 17, 18 as shown, or a wall bearing loosely against them. In a modification, one of the fixing members has a projecting wall but the other is arranged on the inside of the edge element which is supported by a member having an inclined wall. In another modification, the edge element bows inwardly and may be reinforced by fabric or steel inserts.
