Abstract
1,152,007. Linkwork. INSTITUT AUTOMATIKI I ELEKTROMETRII SO AN SSSR. 27 April, 1966, No. 45429/65. Heading F2K. [Also in Division H1] An actuator for switch contacts or an electrical probe in a sealed enclosure, comprises a curved rod 3, Figs. 1, 2 mounted within a flexible tube 1 sealed at one end 2 to the wall of the enclosure whereby movement of either the tube or rod transmits motion to the other member. In the example the tube 1 extends outside of a sealed chamber 5 whereby actuation in the direction P at the end of the tube 1 causes the rod 3 to rotate to a position of minimum strain and the cranked end 4 to engage alternative contacts 6, 7. In this example the tube 1 and rod 3 may be electrically connected by a flexible conductor. In a modification the tube 1, Fig. 4, is sealed at both ends with the cranked rod 3 extending at both ends for actuation from either end at crank 4. The tube 7 is thereby deflected to engage a single fixed contact 9. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 969,876.
