1,151,691. Temperature alarm systems. GRAVINER (COLNBROOK) Ltd. 5 Jan., 1966 [9 Jan., 1965], No. 1074/65. Addition to 953,166. Heading G4N. A temperature alarm system as described in Specification 953,166 in which a detector element is charged during one half-cycle and is discharged through a controlled rectifier during the other half-cycle is modified by connecting the detector and rectifier in parallel across a common transformer output winding. During one half-cycle detector FW charges through diode D1 and capacitor C2 charges through diode D2 to hold the controlled rectifier SCR cut-off, during the other half-cycle, the detector discharge current, supplemented by the transformer secondary current flows through resistor R2 and, when a critical temperature is exceeded, is sufficient to switch on SCR and actuate relay RLA.
