1,150,751. Preparing printing proofs. ACIGRAF-ANDREOTTI COSTRUZIONE IMPIANTI GRAFICI S. R. L. Sept. 14, 1966 [Oct. 1, 1965], No. 41011/66. Heading G2C. Coloured printing proofs for the rotogravure on offset printing methods are obtained before etching of the plate on cylinder employed by (a) preparing from an original set of colour separation positives, corresponding negatives by contactexposing a set of gelatino silver halide films with said positives, developing and stopping (b) treating the set of films in a bath which bleaches the developed silver images and removes the emulsion in exposed areas (c) fixing said films (d) dyeing the gelatine reliefs and (e) printing the gelatine reliefs on to a photographic paper treated with a colour stabilizing solution e.g. ethyleneglycol. The bath used in step (b) may comprise copper sulphate, potassium bromide acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, citric acid and water.
