[Also in Division A1] A cutter, particularly for bushes or vines, has a rotary cutting blade 1 (Fig. 7, not shown), and an engine 18 mounted at opposite ends of a barrel 8 enclosing a driving shaft 5, two hand grips 22, 22<SP>1</SP> being mounted on the barrel in positions such that the centre of gravity of the cutter lies between them. The hand grips coaxially surround the barrel and, as shown in Fig. 6, each consists of a rigid, e.g. metal, tube 26 embedded in an elastic, e.g. rubber, tube 25. The drive shaft 5, which is connected to the engine through a clutch rotor 9, is divided into two sections 5a, 5b connected by a steel bar 10 and drives the cutting blade through bevel gears 3, 4.
