A mineral-detaching tool comprises a blade or chisel-carrying body 1 that is slid along a guide surface of a holder 2 up against an abutment on the holder to be pinned to the holder by a pin 11 passing through the then aligned bores in the body and the holder, which bores are disposed transversely of the guide surface that extends in the direction of the main force occurring on the tool when it is in use. Other embodiments to the one shown are also described.
