A driving shoe 10 for a tubular pile 12 comprises an outer hollow body 14 having an upwardly facing annular pile supporting shoulder 16, an inner hollow body 26 fixed coaxially with the outer hollow body 14 by spaced spoke-like members 22 extending radially between the outer and inner hollow bodies, the spoke-like members and the inner hollow body being provided with cutting lower edges 24 and 30 respectively. In the embodiment shown the inner hollow body projects below the outer hollow body.
