Abstract

1,145,407. Projection screens. Q-PANEL CORP. June 6, 1966, No. 25134/ 66. Heading G2J. A flexible roll-up projection screen 16 of embossed polyvinyl-chloride, for example, has rigid bars 17', 17" fastened to the top and bottom edges and is tensioned by attaching the bars to the ends of vertical bowed resilient rods 28 which are slidable in wall brackets 11 to adjust the tilt of the screen. Bars (17', 17") are of square section, Fig. 2 (not shown), and have grooves on their front faces in which the screen is held by channels (23), and have on their rear faces, recesses (25) to receive the ends of rods (28). Rods (28) have notches (38) to receive locking bails (39) pivoted to bar (17'), and have end slots (29) taking the looped ends of a wire (31) which restricts the tensioning of screen (16). Rods (28) are frictionally held between the fixed lugs (42, 43) of bracket (11), Fig. 6 (not shown), and a spring-loaded centre lug (44) on slidable plate (45).
