[Also in Divisions B2 and D1] A process for applying coatings of plastic material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, to a fabric comprises applying, e.g. by coating heads 2 and 3 one or more coatings of a plastisol to a rotating internally heated cylinder 1 which is coated with a release material or which has a surface of metal having the properties of a release material, applying to the coating or coatings of plastisol a layer of fabric to form a laminate, pressing the laminate to the cylinder, e.g. by rollers 4, 7 and 8 and stripping the laminate from the cylinder. In a preferred embodiment, a blowing agent is included in the plastisol and the laminate is heated in oven 8.
