Abstract
1,143,315. Valves. DANFOSS A.S. 26 July, 1967 [17 Aug., 1966], No. 34293/67. Heading F2V. A thermally responsive valve has a housing for the actuating system in the form of a metal tube 9 which is clamped at it lowers end 10 to the valve housing 4 and is in contact with the thermally responsive element 14 at its upper end. The tube 9 is formed with opposed longitudinal slots (11) through which project an abutment 12 for the element loading spring 26. The abutment is in screw-threaded engagement with a rotary adjusting knob 22 that is supported at its upper end by a flange 23 abutting a flange 21 of a cup shaped clamp 20 which passes above the element 14 and by means of an inner rim 19 engaged in a groove (18) of the tube resiliently holds the latter against the element 14. A dial plate 28 seals the knob 22 and is provided with two stops on two rings 29, 30 which co-operate with stop 31 on clamp 20 to limit rotation of the knob 22.
