Abstract
1,143,166. Storage heaters; thermal regenerators. KNAPSACK A.G. 13 Jan., 1967 [19 Jan., 1966], No. 1896/67. Headings F4K and F4U. The core of a storage heater or regenerator comprises atomized magnetite. The magnetite may be sintered, preferably in the presence of a temperature-stable binder. It may be compressed into a block or blocks or alloyed with iron. The core may be heated electrically, either by induction or by heating elements embedded therein, or by hot gases.
