A process for stabilizing liquid halogenated hydrocarbons by addition of a stabilizing amount of a cycloheterohydrazone and/or a heterohydrazone of general formulµ where R, R 1 , R 3 and R 4 , which may be the same or different, represent a saturated hydrocarbon with 1, 2 or 3 carbon atoms, and R 2 is methylene, ethylidene or propylidene. The preferred stabilizers are methyleno-N-amino-morpholine and formal-di-(methoxy-ethyl)-hydrazone. The quantity of stabilizer may be 0À005- 0À03 % by weight with respect to the halogenated hydrocarbon.
