1,141,951. Cutting apparatus. EDWARD DOHERTY & SONS Ltd. 18 Jan., 1968 [18 Jan., 1967], No. 2575/67. Heading B4 B5. In apparatus for trimming paper and like material comprising a spring-urged rotary cutter blade 8 co-operating with a counter blade 3, the spindle 7 of the blade 8 being mounted in a carriage 6 slidable on a rail 5, the carriage can be pivoted on the rail away from the cutting zone by first displacing the blade 8 against the action of its spring 15 by means of a spring-urged push button 18. The blade 8 is driven by means of a flexible tyre 12 bearing against a presser strip 2 of clear synthetic plastic.
