Abstract

1,247,681. Paper trimming device. M. MYERS & SON. Ltd. 23 Dec., 1968 [1 Jan., 1968; 14 March, 1968], Nos. 23/68 and 12401/68. Heading B4B. A paper trimming device comprises a base board 10, means 13 defining a cutting edge, a guide bar 12, a housing 16 slidable along the bar 12, on axle 19 bearing a rotary cutter 24 for co-operation with the cutting edge 13 and a roller 26 connected to the cutter 24 and arranged to bear on a pressure pad 14 so that as the housing 16 is moved along the guide bar 12 the cutter 24 rotates, and any paper located between the board 10 and the pad 14 and extending beyond the edge 13 is trimmed off. Lips 27 at the lower edges of the housing 16 limit the thickness of the paper to be cut, and a scale (15), Fig. 1 (not shown), provided along one longitudinal edge of the board 10 allows accurate positioning of the paper.
