1141510 Thatching D H GOODING 29 Nov 1966 [2 Nov 1965] 46430/65 Index E1A 296 An artificial thatching for buildings comprises a sheet 1 of corrugated plastics (e.g. wire-reinforced polyvinylchloride) with parallel tubes of a similar plastics material, or of a natural straw coated with plastics, secured to it. The sheet and tubes may be formed integrally by moulding or formed separately and united by adhesive. The troughs of the corrugations are filled by larger-diameter tubes 2 and smaller tubes 3 are laid above them. To allow for overlapping of adjacent sheets, one side and end of each sheet is free of tubes and, at the other end, the tubes extend a short distance beyond the end. Ridge-pieces of inverted V- section, otherwise similarly constructed, may be provided for roof ridges.
