Abstract
1,141,408. Deformation imaging. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. Dec. 22, 1966 [Dec.29, 1965], No.57376/66. Heading G2H. [Also in Division H1] A deformation image is formed by exposing a recording medium, which shows a variation in its capacitance with illumination sandwiched between two conductive layers across which is applied a p.d. at least one of which is a transparent material. A preferred recording medium has a glass support bearing in turn a conductive stannous oxide layer, a layer of thermoplastic polystyrene containing dispersed copper activated cadmium selenide, and a transparent gold layer. Other photo-sensitive layers may include cadmium sulpho-selenide, cadmium telluride, strontium sulphide, zinc oxide, zinc sulphide, and zinc selenide. The image may be read out optically by a Fitzeau interferometer.
