Abstract

1,139,979. Selective printing. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. 21 June, 1966, No. 27600/66. Heading B6F. [Also in Division G5] An electromagnetic printing head or recording head (see Division G5) comprises a lamina 1 of magnetic material one edge of the lamina being provided with slots 2 in which are received windings 3. To reduce cross-talk between windings the opposite edge is provided with slots 5. Windings 3 are formed by hand and may be replaced by a printed circuit winding 7 (Fig. 2) disposed on copper-plated synthetic plastic support 6, which is provided with a slot 9 serving for location of the support in a respective slot 2. Lamina 1 and windings 3 or 7 are potted in a supporting block of epoxy resin.
