Abstract

1,043,035. Magnetic heads. M. GRUNDIG. June 29, 1965, No. 27466/65. Heading G5R. In a transducer head comprising two ferromagnetic core members 1, 3, abutting a non- magnetic gapdefining member 2, the first core member 1 comprises a plurality of laminations 9 disposed perpendicular to the member 2 and to the record medium 6 and the second core member 3 comprises at least one lamination 4 arranged parallel to the gap member 2. Modifications of the member 3 are described, Figs. 3, 4, 5 (not shown), in which the length of the pole face 5 in the direction 15 is reduced by stepping or cranking the laminations 4. Two such heads may be arranged in a single housing. Fig. 6 (not shown).
