Abstract
1,139,791. Lubricators. GRAPHOIDAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 14 April, 1966 [22 April, 1965], No. 17104/65. Heading F2A. [Also in Division B2] In an apparatus for supplying a lubricant comprising an aqueous dispersion of a solid, the solid is maintained in suspension by continuous agitation by compressed air fed into the suspension from a perforated tube 44 on the floor of the suspension reservoir 12. The air is supplied through a conduit 42 and an adjustable flow regulating valve 46. The valve 46 may be by-passed by operating a valve 50 to supply full air pressure for additional agitation. The suspension is supplied to and discharged from intermittently operated Venturi-type nozzles 14 via valves 20, 24 in the compressed air and suspension supply lines actuated by pneumatic rams 30, 31. The rams may be controlled by valves operated by a foot-pedal, by movement of the machine being lubricated or by photo-electric cells, and the supply may be maintained for a time-controlled period.
