Abstract

1,136,159. Tripod stands. W. VINTEN Ltd. 24 Nov., 1967 [2 Dec., 1966], No. 54017/66. Heading A4H. A spider for assuring that the legs of a tripod do not slip comprises three strips 10, 12, 14 of fabric, webbing or synthetic plastics material extending from a triangular connecting member 18 and having eyelets 16 through which the ends of the tripod legs pass. Each strip also has a recessed plate 24 adapted to receive the toepiece 28 of the tripod leg. The plate 24 can be made to co-operate with any one of the eyelets 16 by folding the strip. The plate 24 may have a springy extension adapted to snap into an eyelet.
