Abstract

1,135,444. Valves; pipe joints. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 4 Feb., 1966 [6 Feb., 1965], No. 4915/66. Headings F2G and F2V. Two or more conduit sections, each of which may include a plurality of fluid conveying bores 4, 5, 6, have their mating faces aligned by a dowel pin 17 and held together by an intermediate hollow member 18 in the conduit 5. The ends of the member 18 are provided with threads of opposite hand whilst an internal hexagonal surface enables the member to be rotated by a spanner inserted through the conduit 5. Compressible seals 12, 13, 14 are disposed in grooves in one mating surface, each seal corporating with a separate one of the conduits. The pin 17 may be replaced by a hollow sleeve in one of the conduits and the latter may be associated with elongated valve blocks or multiple valve banks.
