Abstract
1,135,065. Photographic delay mechanisms. PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB. Jan. 19, 1966, No.2474/66. Heading G2A. A delayed action mechanism for a photographic camera is shown it its run down position. To cock the mechanism a winding shaft 2 is rotated with the aid of a handle so as to tension a drive spring in a housing 4, which spring drives an escape wheel 5. A control cam 3 is also rotated so that a point 3a thereof engages an aperture 10 in a release slider 7 and then urges the slider upwards, so as to tension a spring 9, until a nose 16 of a blocking slider 12 enters the aperture 11 of the slider 7 and holds it in its cocked position. An intermediate lever 18 which follows the cam 3 is pivoted anti-clockwise as seen. Release operation. By operation of the camera release arrangement a lever 22 is pivoted out of the plane of the Fig., and an oblique surface 26 thereof engages the intermediate lever and pivots it back towards its original position. The lever 18 pivots a bellcrank lever 21 out of contact with an escape lever 6 so that the pre-timer mechanism can run-off under action of the spring in housing 4. The cam 3 is rotated back towards the position shown, and eventually engages a surface 17 of the blocking slider 12 which is thus drawn out of the aperture 11. This frees the release slider 7 and, since the cam 3 has completely restored the lever 18 to the position shown, the release lever 22 is free to be pivoted by the slider 7, drawn downwards (as seen) by the tensioned spring 9. The lever 22 then initiates the exposure.
