Abstract

1,134,872. Synthetic plastics pipe. T. F. MOSS. 2 Dec., 1966 [3 Dec., 1965], No. 51371/65. Heading F2P. An extensible tube 1 of thermoformable plastics material formed in a sinuous wave-like shape lying substantially in a plane is particularly suitable for an extensible air-line or cable sleeve for articulated vehicles. The outer section of the tube may be rectangular and the pipe supported by an extensible trellis, or springs be attached to the airline to pass through sleeves secured to the tube. Unions 2 and nylon sleeves 3 are provided at the ends of the tubes. Suitable plastics materials are nylon, P.V.C., and polyolefines such as polypropylene and polyethylene.
