Abstract

1,133,235. Consolidating underground formations. CHEVRON RESEARCH CO. 2 Sept., 1966 [2 Sept., 1965], No. 39432/66. Heading E1F. A liquid epoxy resin containing 0.25 to 5 percent 'of an epoxysilane is injected into an incompetent underground formation, the formation is flushed with an inert liquid to impart permeability and contacted with a curing agent to produce a solid film and thus a solid consolidated permeable mass. Water removing liquids may be used before injection of resin.
