Abstract
1,132,654. Electric measuring systems. P. C. D. Ltd. March 30, 1967 [March 3, 1966], No.9445/66. Heading G1N. The value of the Y ordinate corresponding to a particular X value of a trace 4 (Fig. 2) is determined by moving a cursor platform 14 along the X direction until a sight 15, which can be moved separately along the platform in the Y direction, is located over the appropriate point on the trace. The cursor platform 14 may be locked in this position by an electromagnetic brake (not shown). The sight 15 is attached to a cursor 9 located over a Y correction curve 8 carried on the platform 14. A perpendicular cursor 11 is moved to the point on curve 8 indicated by cursor 9, and is associated with the slider of a potentiometer to tap off a voltage indicative of the corrected value of Y corresponding to the particular X value on trace 4. In another embodiment, the correction curve is on a fixed chart.
