Abstract

1,132,588. Electro-photographic processes. RANK XEROX Ltd. Nov.19, 1965 [Dec.18, 1964], No.49209/65. Heading G2H. A web 48 is laminated to the image carrying face of a transparent self supporting photoconductive layer 13 to enclose the image. The web 48 may be paper, cellulose acetate, Mylar (T.M. ) or Cellophane (T.M. ). The web 3 is given opposite electric charges on both faces by passage through corona generators 19, 20. The charged web is then given a reflex exposure to an original and the latent image so formed is developed by developer applied by a roller 42 while subject to corona discharge 43 to equalize the potential along the opposite side. The developed image may be fixed by heater 45.
