Substantially anhydrous liquid propylene is freed from carbonyl sulphide by contact with an anhydrous weakly-basic anion exchange resin of the polyamine type. The process is preferably conducted at ambient temperature under sufficient pressure to maintain the propylene in the liquid phase. The resin may be regenerated by a nitrogen/steam mixture at 100‹ C. followed by drying by passage of dry nitrogen or sulphurfree natural gas.
