Abstract

113,058. Kay, J. June 21, 1917. Fastenings for sliding windows; sliding bolts. -Relates to a window fastener of the type in which a sliding bolt having a lug projecting from its end engages with a series of holes in a plate or bracket on the opposite sash. According to the invention, lugs 2C, 2D extend from the front of the bolt casing 2 and embrace the bracket 8. The base of the bracket may have a flange 8C, as shown in Fig. 6, so that it can be more firmly secured. The sashes are drawn together by the action of the stem 6A of the knob 6 on the incline 4A when the knob is turned down.
