Abstract

113,028. Molineaux, W., and Molineaux, R. C. March 23, 1917. Bed-lifts.-An invalid's bedstead comprises a base having bars C, E connecting legs 5 to a movable upper portion adapted to be supported in a raised position, to facilitate the use of a sanitary convenience &c. by links B pivoted at 3 to the side bars E. The upper frame rests normally on the lower and is raised by pulling it towards the foot of the bedstead and is 'retained against accidental displacement by means of screws 11 fitted in side bars 13 which serve as guides for the links B. The various bars are connected by drill castings 7, 18, 16. The upper frame is connected to the links by screw-pins which can be removed to allow the frame to be used as a stretcher for which purpose handles are inserted in holes 20 in the frame. A bar 22 is provided for the attachment of a lifting-cord which is engaged with one of a series of notches 25. Rubber pads 18 are mountad on the upper ends of the legs.
