[Also in Division C3] A binder for heat-resistant materials, e.g. asbestos contains dicalcium silicate, and 20-70 wt. per cent crushed soluble glass (non-hydrated sodium silicate). The dicalcium silicate may be nepheline slurry, Portland cement or friable slag. For an aerated concrete fine diamotte, chamotte sand, NaOH, Al powder, aqueous soluble glass solution and water are added.
