Abstract

1,128,205. Toothed gearing. UNITED SHOE MACHINERY CORP. 5 Nov., 1965 [7 Nov., 1964], No. 45464/64. Heading F2Q. The wave generator of a harmonic gear comprises two discs 48, 50 freely rotatable on eccentrics 44, 45 of the rotary input shaft 41, which discs thereby roll around the inside of the flexible gear 20. The discs 48, 50 have intercalated radial and axially extending tangs 51, 52 forming an outer surface which acts as a rotating ellipse on the flexible gear 20. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) plane discs 48<SP>1</SP>, 50<SP>1</SP> are mounted on the eccentrics.
