Abstract
1,127,572. Electrode boilers. W. N. LAMPHIER. 7 Jan., 1966, No. 915/66. Heading H5H. A vapour generator comprises a closed vessel 7, having a vapour outlet 38 and a liquid inlet 36, containing two groups of annularly disposed parallel connected circular electrodes 12, 18, one group within the other, a circular electrode 20 at the centre of the casing connected to one group of electrodes, and two groups of electrode spacer rings 21, 22. The vessel has an inner shell 6 of insulating material and the electrodes of carbon are grouped in four segments. Water and freon are vaporized and superheated in the vessel.
