Anchors.-A stockless anchor of the type having the shank b pivoted on a separate pin d held by transverse plates e in a recess in the head a has the ends a<2> of the pin inclined to engage corresponding inclined surfaces in the recess. The nuts and bolts holding the plates e in position are protected by being partially sunk in recesses in the head and plates. A single plate may be used instead of the two shown.
