Abstract

1,123,710. Monogrammic signs. FERRANTI, Ltd. 9 Sept., 1967, No. 41274/67. Addition to 934,001. Heading G5C. The character-forming elements 14 of the parent Specification are mounted between resilient U-shaped members 22 whose limbs 20 diverge when unconstrained and which are inserted between projections 12 on a common base 10 so as to constrain limbs 20 of a pair towards each other. As described, a detent 28 limits rotation of element 14 to less than 180 degrees. A permanent magnet 18 produces a field A-A which can interact with a reversible field between electromagnet poles 36. The electromagnet is similar to that described in Specification 1,027,955 and is mounted in recesses 32, 34 in the base. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1,027,955 and 1,014,380.
