1,123,536. Cutting apparatus. HENRY SIMON Ltd. 27 July, 1967. No. 34588/67. Heading B4B. Rotary die cutting apparatus for cutting and slotting carton blanks comprises an anvil arrangement 10 including two rotary slotting anvils 12 and two intermediate rotary anvils 14 mounted coaxially on a shaft 16. The anvils are axially adjustable on the shaft and each anvil has a resilient cover. A knife 18 is mounted on a cylinder 20 through an arcuate support 22, the knife having at each end thereof a slotting punch 23 which engages a peripheral slotting groove in an anvil 12.
