Abstract

112,216. Morch, J., and Morch, A. April 10, 1917. Torpedo screens.-A torpedo guard is formed of a number of channel-bars 10 fixed to the hull and carrying pivoted deflecting members 30 between which are mounted carriage springs 25 carrying additional smaller deflectors 35. The end springs 20 bear against recessed end pieces 15. The deflectors 35 are mounted, as shown in Fig. 4. A staple 42 passes through a block 43 fixed in a flared tube 45 and is secured by a plate and nuts 51.
