Abstract

1,121,887. Push-pull catches. METROPOLITAN PLASTICS Ltd. 7 March, 1967 [14 March, 1966], No. 11068/66. Heading E2A. A door catch comprises a stud member 1 and a socket member 2 for attachment respectively to a door and a door jamb, the members being made from a solid plastics substance of a resilient character and a stud 3 of the stud member projecting integrally from a flat securing plate 4 with the stud axis normal to the plate and having a radiused lead-on nose 5 at its end portion extending from a body formed with an annular waist 6 of concave section, there being a diametral split 7 down the stud and the socket member having a sleeve 8 formed integrally on a securing plate 9 disposed parallel to the axis of said sleeve which latter has an internal diameter sufficiently large to receive the stud the sleeve having an entry end portion 10 for the reception of the stud and inside the sleeve there being flange means 11 lying at right angles to the axis of the sleeve at such a distance from the entry end whereby the flange means can grip the annular waist of the stud.
