Abstract

1,120,951. Push-pull catches. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. 12 Dec., 1966 [28 Feb., 1966], No. 8628/66. Heading E2A. A catch member for resiliently engaging a stud 2 comprises an assembly of two opposed resilient arms 3 each carrying a roller 8, the assembly being mounted in a frame 14, 14a, 15 in such a manner as to permit a limited amount of free movement of the assembly within the frame. The arms 3 are joined by a base 5, which is located in the frame by resilient tongues 31, 32 formed in the frame walls 14, 15. In a modification, Figs. 1-5 (not shown), the arms 3 are formed with tongues, which, together with the base 5 co-operate with a wall joining the frame side walls to retain the assembly within the frame. The rollers may be of glass filled nylon and the roller spindles may be integral with the roller.
