Abstract

1,120,895. Roller skates. MAKUBA N.V. 28 June, 1966 [21 July, 1965], No. 28839/66. Heading A6D. The invention comprises a roller skate having two or more wheels all of which are arranged one behind the other in a single row, at least one of the wheels being provided with a sharp peripheral ridge enabling a push-off action to be obtained when skating the ridge being provided adjacent the tread of the said one wheel or adjacent to each side of the tread. In Fig. 1, the tread of the wheel forms the largest diameter region thereof, and the push-off ridge has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the tread, so that the ridge may be brought into contact with the skating surface slantingly; and in Fig. 2, the tread of the one said wheel is concavely curved in the axial direction of the wheel, the ends of the tread forming the ridges. The wheels are removable and interchangeable.
