Abstract

1,119,916. Feeding bottle holders. M. B. KIRWAN. 13 April, 1967, No. 16933/67. Heading A5X. A holder for a feeding bottle has a flat base surface, a bottle-supporting surface inclined relative to the base surface, and means on or in the supporting surface for engaging the bottle frictionally, the engaging means being at least partly defined by a resilient material against which the bottle may be stressed so as to be held in position with the teat of the bottle projecting forwardly from the holder. As shown, the holder comprises a block of foam synthetic plastics material 1 within a plastics casing 2, and is provided with an elastic strap 3 to frictionally engage the bottle. In an alternative embodiment (Figures 2 and 3, not shown), the holder comprises a toy duck having a bottle-receiving opening (5) lined with a resilient foam material (6). The bottle holder may also be fashioned as a toy animal, vehicle, or locomotive. It is stated that the holder may comprise two half blocks adapted to grip the bottle between them, or be shaped in the supporting surface with a groove to receive the bottle.
