Ordnance, cleaning; machine guns.-Consists in a device for eleaning gun barrels &c., comprising a brush or the like g carried by a metal ribbon f which, together with a second ribbon or cord e, is wound spirally on a shaft b in between two disks c, d. When the ribbon or cord e is pulled, the ribbon f is unwound from the shaft and the brush is pushed along the barrel or tube h. The two ribbons or the ribbon and cord are rewound on the shaft, to effect the reverse movement, by a crank handle a.
