1,117,603. Masked lift trucks. DOWTY TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. 17 Sept., 1965 [26 Sept., 1964], No. 39319/64. Heading B8H. [Also in Division F1] The hydraulic system of a fork lift truck comprises a single-acting lift ram 20, actuated by a variable-delivery pump 12, and a doubleacting mast-tilting ram 30 actuated by a fixeddelivery pump 13, the two pumps being driven by an electric motor 14. A hand lever 17 is provided for controlling the pump 12 and a hand lever 26 is provided for controlling a control valve 25. In a modification, a lock valve 41 is provided in the line from the output side of the pump 12 to the ram 20 and an automatic release linkage 42 is provided between the valve 41 and the hand lever 17. A further hydraulic circuit, including a ram actuating a reach mechanism for the load support, may be coupled to the fixed-delivery pump.
