Abstract

1,116,157. Stand for hair curlers. S. M. BORSTON. 19 Jan., 1967 [20 Jan., 1966; 21 Dec., 1966], Nos. 2728/66 and 57318/66. Heading A4V. A stand for hair curlers comprises at least two upwardly facing annular plane surfaces (3 and 5) arranged in inwardly ascending tiers, each surface being supported on a cylindrical portion (2 and 4) and each smaller diameter cylindrical portion extending upwardy from the inner edge of the plane surface of the larger diameter cylindrical portion below, said plane surfaces having concentric rows of holes (7 and 8) extending vertically downwards therefrom, the inner free edge of the uppermost surface defining a circular central aperture 6, which extends vertically downwards therefrom. The stand is made of a synthetic resin or a metal and may have a core of foamed polystyrene or polyurethane. The stand may also have a bottom portion which is upwardly concave and which has drainage ridges around the edge.
